My practice is considered an out-of-network provider with all insurance companies. This means that I don't bill insurance and the full amount is due at the time of each session.
Insurance companies will sometimes reimburse you for some or all of the cost of your session. I will be happy to provide you with a statement you can use to request reimbursement. Please check your specific coverage regarding out-of-network therapy.

There are a variety of reasons why a person may choose to see an out-of-network provider. Three examples include:
1. Individualized treatment
Insurance companies often control how often clients can be seen, limit the number of sessions, and require therapists to prove that treatment is necessary. They may also require that certain types of therapy be implemented before they cover the cost. As an out-of-network provider, we can work together to decide which type of therapy is best for you and create a personalized treatment plan without insurance restrictions.
2. Quicker access to services.
Out-of-network providers often have shorter waitlists since they don’t accept insurance, allowing you to be seen faster and with greater flexibility.3. Enhanced privacy
When visiting an in-network provider with insurance, you need a mental health diagnosis for coverage. Insurance companies may also ask therapists for treatment plans and progress notes. However, by choosing an out-of-network provider like me, you can avoid having your mental health diagnosis and treatment details included in your permanent health record. -

If you decide to schedule a free 20 minute consultation, we will connect on a video call where you can share what brings you to therapy and a bit about yourself. You'll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Afterward, we’ll talk about the next steps if we decide we’re a good fit.
